The movie was filmed on historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like the square year-round
Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family compete to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest, judged by Director of Fan Affairs Derrick. Get your happy fix with this year’s selection of romantic holiday-themed movies that you can watch from the comfort of your own home. The locations that served as Higman’s Family Store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ Restaurant are also family stores in real life.
Okay, bad athleticism
Christmas lights are also lit in the square, just like in the movie. I have to give the writers and producers credit for trying to do something completely different in the history of Christmas movies, even though Christmas really did involve carrying the Chiefs’ sleigh every time the team played on Christmas Day. So they threw big but only got one salute.
He has a unique style that we enjoy
Maybe I should say they attempted a deep throw and only got a pass interference, not a bomb. Hunter King and Tyler Hines had great chemistry here, and we’ve loved Tyler in many of these movies. However, there were a few things in this movie that took us right out of the story, like the mother and grandmother practically throwing Hunter into a stranger’s lap the moment he walked in the door.
delivered a moving performance
Then the whole trope about Hunter getting upset over “the disbelief in the hat” was funny, especially when it was the best thing the writers could come up with to add some late-night tension to the novel. Most of the “best fan” storyline worked, and Ed Begley Jr. Parkinson’s disease made him look 15 years older than he should be 75, and that’s a shame, but it’s not his fault.
Thankfully, she only appeared once and for a short time
Few movies this year have had a boring secondary character who overacts in a clumsy way, and this is one of them. The owner of the delicatessen nearly forced me to pick up this movie after the first five minutes. We don’t regret watching it, despite some plot issues, but we won’t be going back.
